As an organisation whose primary activity is sourcing goods and services from around the globe, responsible sourcing is an important element of the work we do.
JS Procurement Group sources a wide range of products and services from various sources - both domestically and internationally - for the purpose of commercial and retail sales as well as supply to distributors.
We take a continuous improvement approach to responsible sourcing, with the ultimate goal of preventing harm to both people and our environment. We consider this to be an evolutionary process.
In sourcing responsibly, we seek to do the following
- Gain a deeper understanding of our supply chains, though often complex, multi-faceted and global. This includes the impact to humans and the environment at different stages of the supply chain.
- Maintain an awareness of Modern Slavery risks and act to mitigate those risks wherever possible.
- Identify and act upon any supply chain links not in alignment with our position on responsible sourcing. This may include cessation of supplier relationships and sourcing of alternative product.
- Keep abreast of global issues affecting responsible sourcing and adjusting course as necessary.
